Freeview UK

Freeview is the name a DVB-T platform in the UK.

The latest version of this MHEG-5 profile, including several extensions, is defined in the UK D-Book which is only available to DTG members. A basic version of this profile is contained in the document "MHEG-5 UK Profile, version 1.06" which is available on the DTG webpage.

Conformance Testing

Any manufacturer can build devices for this platform, but only receivers which have passed all tests at DTG Testing are allowed to bear the Freeview trademark. The StreamGuru MHEG-5 engine has already passed these tests in September 2008.
